Pham has cultivated a distinct figurative vernacular through years of artistic investigation of the human condition. Her works operate on multiple psychological levels—often within the same composition. Whimsical and anguished, ecstatic and contemplative, Pham's expressive mark making cuts to the heart of our humanity.

 

"I am fascinated by the exploration of how our stories of conception, childhoods, and traumas affect us and our relationship towards others. I use painting to conjure these stories of origin in search of a deeper understanding of humankind."
